Carpentry & Masonry Journeyman

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Carpenter

Under general supervision, can perform the full range of journeyman level carpenter duties in the construction and finishing of decks, fences, gates & arbors. Can form concrete.

Mason

Under general supervision, can perform skilled masonry work including sand-set and slab-set tile and flagstone, veneer concrete walls and build stone retaining walls. Understands prep work, drainage and finish work. Polishing and rudimentary stone fabrication a plus.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Focused, self-motivated & detailed-oriented  
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with highly skilled carpenter or mason
  • Can implement most efficient way of building a project
  • Has excellent time management & communication skills
  • Must be able to run small crew to complete specific project
  • Manages building supplies in most cost effective manner
  • Is punctual & reliable

COMPENSATION

  • Pay $25/hr to start, (30 day trial period) $28-30/hr thereafter
  • Raises based on performance and skill level
